StakeNet Featuring Roadmap in 2019

StakeNet’s 2019 Roadmap has been finally announced. The team aims to step into the cold/hot long-waited feature by implementing the VIPER and MERLIN technologies. VIPER is expected to be a blockchain oriented hardware component to feature XSNs. MERLIN is supposed to be the software to run this latest update on your own in a local environment.

StakeNet’s Success So Far

During 2018, the DEX infrastructure has been updated to achieve new discoveries. Additionally, the first Proof-of-Stake coin was released with the help of Segwit, which allowed users to use the Lightning Network to do atomic swaps. StakeNet’s first offline proposal was also launched on the market in tandem with the cloud staking option and newly modified Masternode platform. The team behind StakeNet plans to continue working on the project according to the roadmap that was updated recently.

MERLIN: StakeNet’s Software

This feature intends to help users make a lightning swap between LTC and XSN in a matter of a single click. These swaps should pass through the lightning network. The ability to search for an interoperability via the DEX exchange is going to be provided by a cold storage, called Excalibur, which is about to handle the private keys of the user. An additional Masternode layer is expected as well and it will be supported with a TPoS migration.

VIPER: StakeNet’s Hardware

This implementation aims to resolve the issue with the increasing costs of devices. It’s planned to release an open-source handling of private credentials and the above mentioned Excalibur storage. The integration of the XSN VIPER should enable running Lightning Network hubs and acquiring some fees for transactions. It’s expected that multiple Masternodes will start running on a VIPER mode, which will allow users to keep their coins in cold storage.

MERLIN & VIPER: What would that combination offer?

The mixture of hardware and additional software to manage StakeNet coins is expected to be the base of a featured security enhancement of StakeNet’s blockchain. In fact, the first protocol of the team will also get an update, which will make the platform faster and more stable when speaking of adoption.
